Bloomwatch
Users can take photos of plants or animals they see around them and upload it to BloomWatch. An AI algorithm searches the image for plants and animals and identifies the species as well as its category: Non-native/Invasive, Regular plant/vegetation (non-flowering), Wild animal (non-pollinator), Flowering plant, or Pollinator. Users are awarded points for each new species they find. For example, an image of a plant would be 1 point, while an animal would be 3 points. A leaderboard is displayed with the top 10 users ranked based of of their accumulated points. This encourages users to compete from all around the United States and support their regions.
